Welcome to the MYRACL
Internet Web Site

Hello everyone and welcome to the Nova Scotia Mi'kmaw Youth, Recreation & Active Circle for Living (MYRACL). This website was established to assist our organization in terms of sharing information on the new initiatives of our organization and to also provide an opportunity for communities and members of various Nova Scotia Mi'kmaw bands to view, at any time, updated news and upcoming events planned for the NSMSRC.  Through this website, we plan to increase awareness of what programs, services and events that are planned for our communities.

We have developed this organization to improve and promote healthier active living through sports and recreation programming and services that we are working to provide to the Mi'kmaw communities of Nova Scotia.  Originally established in 1997 as the Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Sports Council, and incorporated in the fall of 2003 as it's new name of MYRACL, it has been a long and challenging road.  The rewards that we have seen have started to make positive change happen in our communities.  Our organization receives it's mandate through the support of the Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Chiefs and it's communities.

Since then, we have worked to open new doors for opportunity for our people in sports and recreation with the long term goal of increasing participation and helping to establish structured programs in sports and recreation for the youth in our communities.

Please take your time to visit the web links on the top left hand portion of this page and read through the information contained to familiarize yourself with our initiatives and activities planned for the various Mi'kmaw communities of Nova Scotia.
