2002-2003 PROVINCIAL TOM LONGBOAT AWARDS FOR MALE & FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR & COACH OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to the following persons on their recent achievements in being recognized as the 2003 Province's Mi'kmaw Athletes & Coach of the Year:

Male Aboriginal Athlete of the Year Chance Paul, (Boxing)
Millbrook, Nova Scotia
Female Aboriginal Athlete of the Year Sarah-Lynne Knockwood (Tae Kwon Do)
Indianbrook, Nova Scotia
Male Aboriginal Coach of the Year John Jr. Googoo (Basketball)
Eskasoni, Nova Scotia
Female Aboriginal Coach of the Year No submissions


The NSMSRC is now planning an Awards Banquet to be held in Sydney, NS some time in early July 2003 to honor these athletes and other volunteers in our communities.
